These Madeira Levadas are ment for everyone young and old. Most of these levada walks are only half day walks.

These levada walks most people can handle. These are generally easy/medium walks that are full day excursions.
Madeira Levadas - Difficult
These walks are more for the more experienced walkers. Most of these walks are long and have lots of inclines and declines.

Walking boots or good walking shoes is always essential as is warm clothing in the winter periods.

If required, extra waterproofs, backpacks, torches, & walking sticks are available

A 1.5 liter bottle of water is needed especially on the mountain walks as well as a picnic lunch.
